What is rammed earth?
Rammed earth is a method of wall construction where soil is mixed with a small amount of cement and water to create a wall. The soil, cement and water mix is placed in formed sections and compacted in layers using a pneumatic rammer. The result is a structurally sound, aesthetically pleasing construction with low embodied energy.
